Eclipse Diary, part 1 - leaving on a jet plane

Currently sitting in Adelaide airport, waiting for my flight to Cairns. I will allow myself to get excited when I reach Cairns. Travelling light for this eclipse, a pair of binoculars, two digital point and shoot cameras and a bunch of marking.
