Southern Skywatch June 2010 edition is now up!

The thin crescent Moon covers the Pleaides on the morning of June 11, as seen from Australia.

The June edition of Southern Skywatch is now up with lots of sky action. There's observing Jupiter, Mercury and the Moon, Venus close to the Moon, Mars close to the Moon and Mars near Regulus. Jupiter comes within telescope distance of Uranus. The Moon occults the Pleaides and to top it all off there is a nice partial eclipse of the Moon on June 26.
