The Moon and Mercury, April 27 2009.
The evening sky facing west, half an hour after Sunset, as seen from Adelaide on Monday 27 April. Similar views will be seen elswhere in Australia.Monday sees the thin crescent moon not far from Mercury. Unfortunately, both are very close to the horizon, and you will need a level horizon clear of obstacles too see them.
