Shadow Transit (sort of)
See the darkish smudge on the lower equatorial band? That's Europa and Io's shadows merged together, really, honestly. People with really keen eyesight can Europa emerging on the lower left. I was taking serial images for an animation, when Jupiter went behind the neighbours roof. [sigh] Only got 4 usable images, which doesn't make much of an animation (the 5th was all weird because Jupiter was going behind the roof at the time. I couldn't understand why the focus had gone funny (duh)# posted by Ian Musgrave @ 10:04 pm
