Videos of Near Earth Asteroid 2011 GP59
Chart of Near Earth Asteroid 2011 GP59 as it zoomed past on April 15. Near Earth Asteroid 2011 GP59 sailed past the Earth on April 15 at 1.5 times the Earth-Lunar distance. The elongated asteroid rotates in such a way that observed from earth it's brightens changes substantially, so it looks as if it is flashing.
