Blogging 101 and Beyond! (SA Science Communicators) Monday 11 April
Got a passion for science? Got something to say? Want to do it using Blogging or the New Social Media but don't have a clue how to start? Then this ASCA event is for you.

In this workshop presented by Mike Seyfang, participants will go through the process of setting up an account and will have made at least one blog post by the end of the session. The workshop will also will investigate blog conversations through comments and track backs and the use of RSS reader feeds for blogs. Mike is a “seasoned veteran of information technology and related industries with an extensive network of connections who can help you with pretty much any challenge involving computing, the internet or emerging trends such as online social media”. ForFor this workshop participants will need to bring their own wireless internet (wi-fi) capable machine and have an email account that can be accessed from a web browser (for example gmail).
