What Happened to the Leonids?
As I was off conferencing in Storm City at the time of the Leonids, I had no chance to see how they went. Australian observers don't seem to have seen much, but the predicted mini outburst was seen by people in Europe (the one that occurred in daylight for us in Australia. Here's a nice fireball image from the Leonids (the Moon is the big round object), and here is a composite image of the Leonids over 4 days. Apart form anything elese our modeling of meteor shpowers is getting better.
