Moon and Venus

Venus and the crescent Moon above the sea on the evening of March 21st. Click to enlarge the image. I also have an animation of the Moon and Venus (warning 6 Mb file) made from 16 stacked images in the Gimp. You can sorta see the Earthshine.

Comments:
The animation downloaded slowly frame-by-frame and I didn't think I could see the Earth-shine (at least on my monitor). However, when it had all downloaded and it played more quickly, the Earth-shine became more obvious. Great animation Ian.

That's a very nice shot and animation - on my monitor I can definitely see the earthshine - particularly in the shots where the sky is deep blue. I'm going to have to try this next time the opportunity beckons.

I think I've now been on a journey around the world completely filled with Venus and Crescent Moon shots!
