Orionids on Wednesday (22 Oct)
The morning sky at 2 am (daylight savings time) in Australia facing east.
This Wednesday morning (ie tomorrow morning) should be a good time to view the Orionids. The activity seems reasonable (about 15 bright meteors an hour and climbing), despite interference from the Moon. Wednesday morning should be better as the Moon doesn't rise untill 3 am. Bets time to view is 2-4 am.
The radiant is just under bright red Betelguese.
Some pictures are available at Spaceweather.
