The Moon and Venus, Sunday May 20
The western horizon as seen in the southern hemisphere about an hour after sunset (click image to enlarge).Venus and the Moon are attractively close together, and with Orion also near the horizon it makes for a rather beautiful evening.
Venus is moving through Gemini and by the end of the month will form a line with Castor and Pollux.

I saw the Moon and Venus together last night, outside at a poetry reading in Ojai. Very beautiful evening.
