Also, the tides do depend on how fast the Earth spins. It depends on what you mean by the word "tide".

Neuron?? I honestly didn't notice that (then the answer is approx -70 mV)!
As for the tides thing, it IS the answer you would get in a standard 8th grade class, not nuanced at all :-)
