Mars, Moon and Regulus

The western horizon as seen at 6:00 pm in Adelaide, similar views will be seen elsewhere in the Southern hemisphere.

On this Thursday night (27 July), Mars, the Crescent Moon and Regulus will form a nice triangle, have a look.

I have been told that at 00.30 on August 27 Mars will be visible as large as the moon. Is this true?
