Moon 9 January 2014 (OR what you do while waiting for Aurora)
More testing with the Pentax in through telescope mode while waiting for aurora. I think I'm getting a better handle on the focus. Now if I can only get Registax to actually stack the images!

Hey Ian, imagej will register on a selected feature, say near the terminator. Then do z project max, or average. Rdgs cometal

Unfortunately the moon rotates slightly in consecutive images (why? it's an equatorial mount! But unguided, so I have to frizt about to get the Moon back in the viewfinder)so one side of the Moon is perfectly aligned in ImageJ, and the other not :-(
