An Iridium Flare in Musca
A -5.4 magnitude flare from Iridium satellite 62 in the constellation of Musca, the Fly, just above the Southern Cross (which is hidden by cloud).Cannon IXUS, 15 second exposure at ASA 400. Street lighting has illuminated the foreground. Click to embiggen.
I'm still having trouble triggering the exposure, which is why the flare is truncated, but I think I can judge the timing better in future.
