And a big hole is found in Western Australia
Google Earth is good for many things astronomical. The latest use of this collection of Satellite maps is the discovery of a recent impact crater in Western Australia. The crater is around 260 metres wide and 30 metres deep, and is thought to be between 10,000 and 100,000 years old. You can read versions of the story at The Age, and the Sydney Morning Herald.

Wasn't it just last year that someone found a fair-sized crater om western Egypt using Google Earth? I think so.
