Update on Sunspt Group 904
Image Credit NASA/SOHOSunspot group 904 is growing, and is now big enough to see with safe solar projection techniques. It is even visible to the unaided eye (as a dot) when safely behind eclipse-grade solar film (never look at the sun directly). WHile tempted to drag out the reflecter and web-cam, I was seduced by gardening and playing basketball with the kids instead. Although of substantial size, we are unlikley to get much geomagnetic action from this group. Here is a stunning image of this group.
