Comet Elenin's Potential Break-up on Universe Today
Universe Today has a nice article by Nancy Atkinson on the potential breakup of Comet Elenin. It has the latest images from Rob Kaufmann and Michael Mattiazzo, and an interview with an amateur astronomer you might just recognise.

One question I would have would be to inquire about the orbital mechanics consequences of a specific and gravitationally singular body, Elenin, in this case splintering into multiple bodies in regard to a change in the pathways for each of those smaller pieces. I'd have to believe that the smaller pieces will follow differing paths as they exit the solar system. If that's the case does the possibility of one of the smaller pieces crossing paths with the Earth therefore exist?
