Steve Irwin Dead

Steve Irwin, the irrepressible "Crocodile Hunter" died today in a freak diving accident. Whatever you thought of his style, his love for nature, desire for people to see and understand it, and commitment to conservation was obvious and enthusiastic. The world will be a slightly grayer place without him. Condolences to his wife Terri and two young children (via John Wilkins)
