Eclipse and Occultation clouded out
Says it all, really. Rechraed my cameras batteries, cooled down the telescope hours ahead of time. Sky looked clear and inviting, then cloud happened. Late in the eclipse the Moon peaked out quickly a couple of times, so I could see a chip off the edge, but othewhise, a good view of cloud.

Same for us - just a ten minute view of a custard-coloured moon with a small dark slice off the top, then cloud has covered since. just emerging as I type, silver and whole again.
Yes, but exceedingly beautiful, with a river of light across Scapa Flow in front of my PC. Wonderful to see the full moon higher in the sky again, but of course, a sign of our winter months coming.
I stayed up till 3:30am for it. I was feeling sad all night because the cloud cover was pretty thick. But just after the eclipse would have started to happen, the clouds thinned a bit, and then there were a few breaks in the cloud. Although I would be describing exactly what you saw yourself seeing as you live in the same area haha.
A pity, because I was really looking forward to seeing photos on your page! But at least the clouds cleared for a little peek :)

Yeah, little peek was right. most of the time it was too dense to see anything, and the maximum was solidly clouded out. The glimpses I got were too fleeting to photograph, sadly.
OTOH, and eclipse glimpsed is a good eclipse, and I did get to see something.
August 28 next year will be a total with good timing, now that would be a shame to be clouded out.
