Comet 73P-B in outburst!

Comet 73P is still providing surprises. Yesterday Fragment 73P-B was reported to be in outburst again, with the Sun-forward sub-fragment being substantially brighter. The ESA's Very Large Telescope has also taken detailed images of 73P-B, showing more details of the fragments of the fragment (remember that Fragment B recently broke up). Recent amateur images of 73-P are here and here.

You beat me to a post again! ;-) You also picked the same image from the press release that I was about to use.

Oops, I just spotted that you've put ESA (European Space Agency) rather than ESO (European Southern Observatory).

Both of these (beating Stuart and misattributing the ESO) are due to me being kicked out of bed around 5.00 am by smallestone. As a result I can get early beaking news, but by brain is too befudlled to catch typos. Thanks to the error heads up Stuart.

But Stuart, you could probably do a nice informed pots, rather than the "oooh pretty!" post I did.

But it was pretty ;-) and it was a bit too late at night for me to write much either. I presumed that Tom or Phil would take advantage of the time zone difference to do a better job of it while I was asleep.
